- Probably varies according to how good your balance is. Mine is average (not great; not poor), and it works for for me. Using the elastic hand bands helps, since you can pull on them to assist with balance. I set my stepper up next to a wall, so that if I do wobble, I can put an arm out and use the wall as a "handrail."
